Bangladesh Nano Society (BNS) has successfully organized its first webinar on “Nano Drug Delivery System” on August 23, 2020 in a zoom meeting. Dr. Mohammad Hossain Shariare, an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Science at North South University, Bangladesh, delivered lecture on the topic in the webinar. He presented on nanotechnology, nano drug delivery system and the importance of nanotechnology in medicine at the start of his speech. He continued his speech on nano drug delivery for phyto-constituents and discussed on several simple methods used to deliver drugs in the body. After his speech, Professor Dr. Jamal Uddin, Department of Natural Science, Coppin State University, Maryland, USA, Dr. Meser Ali, Director of Cellular and Molecular Imaging Lab at Henry Ford Hospital, Michigan, USA and Dr. Samiol Azam, a postdoctoral fellow in the Institute for Nanobiotechnology at Johns Hopkins University, USA, have discussed on the topic presented in the webinar. Professor Dr. Al-Nakib Chowdhury, Department of Chemistry, BUET has presided over the webinar. Dr. Mohammad Mahbub Rabbani, an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry, AIUB hosted the program. Dr. Jagotamoy Das, a Senior Research Associate in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Toronto, Canada managed the most interactive question answer session of the webinar before it ended up. Dr. A. J. Saleh Ahammad, an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry, Jagannath University, maintained the technical support required for the successful completion of the webinar. More than one hundred participants from all over the world joined the webinar.
